Cameron K. Payne, Army Pfc -- Rest In Peace

Cameron K. Payne, 22

Army, Private 1st Class
Based: Ft. Riley, Kan.

Died: June 11, 2007
Baghdad (eastern part), Iraq
Married, 2 children
Gender: Male
Hometown: Corona
High School: Buena Vista High (Corona)
Burial: Riverside National Cemetery
There wasn't anything particularly gung-ho about Army Pfc. Cameron Payne. He almost had too much individual style to be in the military...
"I just loved the way he walked and the way he talked," said Julie Payne, 22, who married the soldier in 2005. "He was such a goofball. Every time he came home from work was a celebration. He'd dance into the room with a waddle. Sometimes he'd run into the house, jump and turn around. I'd just run up to him. We were always like newlyweds."

He took that event personally. He knew that what he was doing in Afghanistan was in response to 9/11, and he fully supported that. — Adena Rollins, childhood friend
He once told longtime friend Rene Bayardo that he was inside a tank on Army maneuvers when it unexpectedly rolled over. Everyone scrambled out, unhurt.
"That's hard to do -- roll a tank -- but it seemed to amuse him. It fit with his personality. He liked to push the envelope," said Bayardo, 26, of Falls Church, Va.

1000 Words -- Plus Two

Oh my:

Update: Heel!

That Ain't No Lady, That's My Gaga

So tritely predictable
Being creative is hard work. Being vulgar to shock the middle class is by now simply the last refuge of an empty mind; it's not shocking at all. We expect disrespect from people like Lady Gaga. After all, we'd only be shocked if she sang something beautiful, inspirational, or possibly with more than ten words in the song.
Ouch.

Alien Heart

By DOROTHY RABINOWITZ
WSJ OPINION JUNE 9, 2010
The Alien in the White House
The distance between the president and the people is beginning to be revealed.
Those qualities to be expected in a president ... were a matter of identification with the nation and to all that binds its people together in pride and allegiance. These are feelings held deep in American hearts, unvoiced mostly, but unmistakably there and not only on the Fourth of July.

A great part of America now understands that this president's sense of identification lies elsewhere, and is in profound ways unlike theirs. He is hard put to sound convincingly like the leader of the nation, because he is, at heart and by instinct, the voice mainly of his ideological class. He is the alien in the White House, a matter having nothing to do with delusions about his birthplace cherished by the demented fringe.
Yes, Ms. Rabinowitz, as always you are right.
The Birthers are a fringe -- but no more deluded or demented than the Obama true believers'n'voters themselves -- to say nothing of his groupies in the press.
Chris "Thrill Up My Leg" Matthews anyone?
Evan "Sort of a God" Thomas anyone?
Now that's delusion and dementia.

Tali Fahima Converts to Sharia

Left-wing Israeli Jewess Tali Fahima converts to the religion of thugs
According to website of Islamic Movement in Israel, Fahima converted to Islam in a mosque in Umm al-Fahm; Fahima served three years in prison for aiding the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade.
By Jack Khoury
Fahima is said to have converted at a mosque in Umm al-Fahm in the presence of sheikhs who tested her knowledge of the principles of Islam. Afterwards, she visited the home of Sheikh Raed Salah and informed him of her conversion.
Fahima was released from prison in 2007 after completing a three-year sentence for passing information to the enemy, having contact with a foreign agent and supporting a terrorist organization.
In May 2004, Fahima entered the Jenin area and meet with operatives of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade, the armed wing of the Fatah movement. She met with Zakaria Zubeidi, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade leader in Jenin.
Fahima declared that she would serve as a human shield for Zubeidi, who was wanted by Israeli security forces. She also reportedly had an affair with Zubeidi.
How Islamic is that carnal affair?
News of the Janeane Garofalo conversion to Islam has not been made public yet.

Eduardo S. Silva, Army Specialist -- Rest In Peace

Eduardo S. Silva, 25
Army, Specialist
Based: Ft. Campbell, Ky.
563rd Aviation Support Battalion, 159th Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault)
Supporting: Operation Enduring Freedom
Died: June 9, 2009
Bagram, Afghanistan
Married
Gender: Male
Hometown: Greenfield
High School: Greenfield High (Greenfield)

Army Spc. Eduardo S. Silva, 25, loved making his family and friends laugh.
That he would die mysteriously in Afghanistan was unimaginable to his family in the Monterey County community of Greenfield. Because he was an Army cook, his family believed he would be safe.
He said his son joined the Army "because of the lies the government tells these kids."

But his cousins said Silva was enjoying his tour in Afghanistan.
"He liked Afghanistan," said Maria Silva, 25, a cousin who grew up with him. "When he was here two months ago, he was so happy. He was just going everywhere. . . . You could see the happiness he had in him."
She said her aunt urged him not to return to Afghanistan after his trip home, promising to help him and his young wife financially until he could find other work. "But he said, 'I like it over there, and I am going back.' And he went back," his cousin said.

Sometimes words mean what they mean and can be used, but why be like that?
No need to use that word, twice, no matter how disgusted I may be at how disgusting she/they can be.
As KB told me a few months ago, not liking a clever (I thought) FaceBook post I posted right after ObamaCare passed: Couldn't you be more, um, pretty?

Hear hear. Let us all be pretty.

Verdeja, slim and muscular, excelled as a triple-jumper and wide receiver at Garfield High. Friends and family recall him as a soft-spoken, incorrigible flirt who rarely missed an opportunity at school to try to impress girls with his singing.
He had more passion than talent, joked Guerrero, who said Verdeja's favorite ballad was "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" by Aerosmith. "He sang that song and annoyed the whole world. It was horrible," she said.
Verdeja is survived by his mother and five brothers.

Krissoff -- Bush -- Krissoff

President George W. Bush told the story the other night, in Grand Rapids, of former East Grand Rapids resident Bill Krissoff, an orthopedic surgeon who pressed Bush at age 61 in 2007 to let him join the Navy as a combat surgeon in honor of his son. Marine Lt. Nathan Krissoff, 25, had been killed in a December 2006 roadside bomb explosion in Iraq.
Krissoff served a year in Iraq and now is serving at age 63 in Afghanistan, Bush said.
"America produces amazing people like Dr. Krissoff," Bush said.

Yeah, America does.

Shop-Rite Sharia

Attention Hellmart shoppers, BlueLight Special in aisle 666

I have to admit that occassionally Pat Roberson looks a little demonic to me and he sounds like a kook too, from time to time, a kook from my youth, God love them. Yet he appears to be onto something here with this CBN report from Hellalco Halalco in Falls Mosque Church, Virginia:

In addition to halal meat, the store carries a large selection of Islamic books, recordings and clothing.
In an exclusive investigation, CBN News discovered that Halalco was also selling CDs and DVDs by none other than al-Awlaki.
In the store, was a display devoted entirely to al-Awlaki's works just one day after he released a video calling for the killing of U.S. civilians.
When Halaco's management was asked for comment, CBN News was told to come back the following day to speak with store owner Abdul Mateen Chida.
The next day, the al-Awlaki display was gone. CBN News asked Chida about the sudden change.
"We have removed them now," he replied.
When asked whether the display would still be up had CBN News never inquired about it, Chida answered, "…it is possible."
It gets better, read it all.

Things to ponder:
CBN News also found his Religion of Thugs materials for sale at Amazon.com. The online Caliphate-bookseller did not respond to a request for comment.
B. Hussein Obama's FBI did comment correctly that al-Awlaki's kill-the-infidel-for-Allah recordings are protected under the First Amendment.

Emanuel Ringleblum -- Warsaw -- Chelmno -- Gaza

June 1:
On this day in history:
On this day in 1942, a Warsaw underground newspaper, the Liberty Brigade, makes public the news of the gassing of tens of thousands of Jews at Chelmno, a death camp in Poland-almost seven months after extermination of prisoners began...
On June 1, 1942, the story of a young Jew, Emanuel Ringelblum, (who escaped from the Chelmno death camp after being forced to bury bodies as they were thrown out of the gas vans), was published in the underground Polish Socialist newspaper Liberty Brigade. The West now knew the "bloodcurdling news ... about the slaughter of Jews," and it had a name -- Chelmno.
Perhaps it's weak and it's only words and we're merely here in the ether, not there in Israel today, not there in the flesh and sweat and fear and courage and duty and history and reality, not there at the front all side-by-side and loving our friends and loving our family, loving Israeli Jew and, even, Israeli Arab, all breath-to-breath and all never again, and perhaps -- or obviously -- others do not, including Chicago punks and thugs who have assumed the role of the mighty, including idiots who send their sons to battle armed with paintball guns, but over here, in word and heart, we can see the line unbroken from Chelmno to Gaza today and yeah, we stand with Israel.

The president acts sometimes like he’s running the country from his dorm room, and it looks increasingly likely that he will not stop until something explodes
