Rod Boyce, Sarah Palin, Todd Palin, Apology, Rod Boyce Apology, Managing Editor

Rod Boyce. Let's keep Rod Boyce in mind this week just in case he's googling himself.

Derrion Albert: Another Black Conservative and Derrion Albert

Another Black Condervative, Clifton B. says:
I cannot tell you how sick and tired I am of seeing, hearing or reading about black on black violence. Look up the statistics of black on black crime and your eyes will pop out of your head. Despite these alarming numbers, black leaders of today seem to have the most tepid response to the issue.
. . .
As you are all well aware, I have no love for Obama’s whacked out Socialist polices. However, I do have great respect for Obama as a role model for the black community. He is educated, he clearly loves and respects his wife and he is a good and providing father to his children. He has spoken to blacks about the importance of education, the need to strive and fatherhood. As President of the United States, Obama is in a unique and possibly once in a lifetime position to finally bring attention to black on black violence.
For ABC the words are sick and tired.
For me, the word this week is wearied.
My old heart is weary of being broken by stuff like this.
Eff. It hurts. Even from this distance.
Get up, Derrion. Get up.

You've all heard me saying similar
stuff regarding President Obama's
strong stance as a father and
family man.
When he and his gang'o'losers
were snatching scholarships from the parents and the
school kids in the District of Columbia earlier this year,
and yeah, that was: Administration Policy,
when he was kicking kids to the curb,
while his own perfect beauties were registering for I Forget The Name Private School - -
at that time I said this to you (last March):
Look, it's clear he's a devoted father and family man, our President Obama. What about his power to affect the families of others in a positive way? Why else seek the job? Affect away. It's only a few million$ for these kids.

ABC suggests this -- n-o-w -- as the time for our President Obama --
I'll add here: AND his First Lady Michelle --
to address this black on black on black on black blackness violence.
You want one'o'those "teachable" moment thingies?
Grab this, Mr. President of Purple America.

I'm not as hopeful as ABC.
The way Obama and his Democrats
slashed'n'snatched vouchers from black kids
in Washington D.C. leaves me
knowing they really don't care.
They just don't. If they cared, they'd do.
They're all talk and no do. All feel and no act.
They'd rather stick it to a white cop in Cambridge than
help a black child break free. That's their tired focus.
No one'll be happier than me to be proven wrongo.

Earlier Derrion right here.
Get up Derrion. Get up.

And hey, not every body will stand up to take a bullet for another, but let us not forget, the vast majority of young black men are more like this than that, more like Kaleb then Silvonus; more like Kaleb than Jesse Jackson; more like Kaleb than Al Sharpton; more like Kaleb than "Rev." Wright; more like Kaleb than Kanye...

Derrion Albert -- Soweto?

Video: Teen Attacked, Beaten to Death in Black Teen on Black Teen Rampage
Nah, not Soweto.
That ain't South Africa. If it were, they'd be necklacing (can you say Winnie Mandela?) instead of beating on boys -- killing innocent beauties -- with big ole Chicago planks.
That's Chicago.
The south side of Chicago.
The "For the first time in my adult life I'm proud to be an American" side of Chicago.
The Jesse "Heimytown" Jackson/Jesse Jackson Junior./the Jesse Operation PUSH side of Chicago.
The Farrakhan/Nation of Islam side of Chicago.
The Fr. Pfleger side of Chicago.
The Reverend Wright/Trinity Church side of Chicago.
The Skip "Yo Mama" Gates -- wait, he's in Cambridge. Nevermind.
The Obama/Acorn side of Chicago.
That would be the odd, kooky, insane, pathetic, creepy, hater, poseur, stinking side of Chicago, coincidentally the south side of Chicago, where all of them Community Organizin' chickens be comin' home to roost.

God bless Chicago? Goddamn Chicago.

Derrion Albert Derrion Albert
Derrion Albert Derrion Albert
Derrion Albert Derrion Albert
Derrion Albert Derrion Albert

Get up Derrion. Get up.

God help us all.

Unless it's a fake stop on the way to Afghanistan, I guess it is more important that our President, our First Lady and our Oprah do their oddly mad dash over to Copenhagen to get those Olympics games (hmmmm) to streets of Chicago rather than to look look looksee at what's really happening in the real world, or, on the real streets of their real Chicago.
To coin a phrase: You're doing a heck of a job, Brownie.

It a hip hop thang.

Later we can address the commentary of the video camera operators.

Perps. Here ya go.
Don't know, don't care.

And summing it all up nicely: A memorial was erected on the spot where Albert was killed, but then someone burned it down.

Fake stop en route thought added 7 a.m. 9/30. Wouldn't that be sweet.

Acoupla Perfect Paragraphs

Friday, September 25, 2009
Amateurs. Incompetents. Ideologues. Full-time politicians turned half-wit government officials. Brilliant leftists who, confronted with the real world, are exposed as clueless idiots and children.

It's going to be a long time until January 2013. Will the millions of American voters who should have known better, but who were taken in by Obama's sham, have stopped thinking 'Wow!' by at least November 2012?

Trig's Mom

Today I, Contento, must apologize to Rod Boyce personally and on behalf of the Boom3 and the Boom3 bumpsins for the choice of words used on the bottom of today's post regarding Rodney's physical characteristics. Rod, do forgive me. My sincerity matches yours.

We used offensive language — “balding, small-dicked, no-sac, four-eyed geek” — next to a small photograph of the balding, small-dicked, no-sac, four-eyed geek editrix of an Alaskan "news"paper -- a paper which not only slammed Governor Mrs. Todd Palin in the crudest of archaicly derogatory terms, but also used the opportunity of its apology to repeat the slam.

Say that to Mr. Todd Palin's face, Rod, willya. Then report on that. Meanwhile:
Palin’s Hong Kong Speech: I Can See Insanity From My Newsroom
by John Ziegler
You would think at this point it would be impossible for anyone (especially me) to be stunned or outraged by anything the news media tries to pull when it comes to Sarah Palin. After all, once you have been exposed to a year-long brutal beating, one tends to become numb to a simple low blow. However, the news coverage of her Hong Kong speech still managed to spark the senses on several levels.

I don't kid myself that you'll read this, but ya oughtta.
______________________________________________________________
Hmmmm. One balding, small-dicked, no-sac, four-eyed geek apologizes for "mistake":
Today I must apologize to Mrs. Palin personally and on behalf of the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner for the choice of words used on the bottom of Wednesday’s front page regarding her speaking engagement in Hong Kong this week to a group of global investors.
We used offensive language — “A broad in Asia” — above a small photograph of the former governor to direct readers inside the newspaper to a full story of her Hong Kong appearance.
Apology not accepted, Rodney.

Rod Boyce.

Obama - Biden Administration Will Cut Border Patrol Deployed on U.S-Mexico Border
Thursday, September 24, 2009
(CNSNews.com) - Even though the Border Patrol now reports that almost 1,300 miles of the U.S.-Mexico border is not under effective control, and the Department of Justice says that vast stretches of the border are “easily breached,” and the Government Accountability Office has revealed that three persons “linked to terrorism” and 530 aliens from “special interest countries” were intercepted at Border Patrol checkpoints last year, the administration is nonetheless now planning to decrease the number of Border Patrol agents deployed on the U.S.-Mexico border
.

Why Your Rosh Hashanah Greeting Rang So Hollow, Obambi

A real man gives a real speech.

Commentary at Commentary:
If the president’s speech was one of the more embarrassing and shameful displays by a U.S. President before the UN, then today brought a reminder of the power of moral clarity. Bibi Netanyahu delivered a scathing condemnation of those who sat and listened to Holocaust denier Ahmadinejad.
Loser.
Better to be feared than loved, country-wise.
Just 40 months to go. Jesus be a time machine.
Obama’s speech may someday stun historians–except, perhaps, for those aware he began his term by packing up the bust of Churchill and writing on it “Return to Sender.”

Shabbat Shalom

Yes there's a story to go with this birthday pic
and yes this precious tyke was ripped
from the arms of his loving parents
and removed from the cozy warmth
of his Jersey -- where else? -- home.

Photo not by Annie Liebovitz, who carries on despite financial turmoil.

Credit where credit's due.

Cat Scratch Fever

I know mine is.
She's a fricken nazi.
That's why I set fire to her bunker.
Then I put out the fire and set it again.
She's learning.

What? You don't get it? Look at what these fools published.

 Thanks Dr. Dave!

Contento, you are on to something. A fascist movement of cats!
We like it.
And you? You need to go over there and look at his pics.

What?

I don't care what you say.
No fear-mongering here.
And I deny that she is hideous.
SECOND(!) in line grifter/Hustler Pelosi
is no more demonic
than, say:
Jerry Falwell -- may he rest in eternal peace --
or Barney Frank -- may he live long in PTown.
She's for the children.
And she's not stoopid.
Mean it.
So back off, haters.
Mean that too.

Meanwhile, back on the plantation, let us pray:
May the One God
Our Lord and King of the Universe
Preserve Our President Obama
For every right and proper and just reason
Not the least of which is:
Order of Succession:
1 Vice President Joe Biden
2 Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi
3 President pro tempore of the Senate Robert Byrd
4 Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton
5 Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner
oh my
6 Secretary of Defense Robert Gates[2]
whew!
7 Attorney General Eric Holder
8 Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar
9 Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack
10 Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke
11 Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis
12 Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius
13 Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Shaun Donovan
14 Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood
15 Secretary of Energy Steven Chu

What's that ye olde maxim? Oh, yeah: The Rotten Fish Rots From The Rotten Head.
In early 2009, ACORN set up an independent Advisory Council to help put together a new management team under Lewis. Lewis was appointed to the job in the fall of 2008 after disclosure of a set of improper management decisions by the founder of the organization.
The Advisory Council includes John Podesta, president of the liberal Center for American Progress; Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, a former lieutenant governor of Maryland; Andrew Stern, international president of Service Employees International Union; Henry Cisneros, a former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development; John Banks, vice president of Government Relations Con Ed; and Eric Eve, senior vice president of Global Consumer Group, Community Relations, of Citigroup.
What could indicate rot more aptly than the unholy trinity of Podesta - Kennedy Townsend -- Cisneros...

You Ask, You Get

Lyrics, Simple Life

(chorus)
I want a simple life
Like my mother
One true love for my older years
I don’t want your wars
To take my children
I want a simple life…while I’m here

The sun and moon walk hand in hand together
Trading places shining on the truth
The moon moves the bottoms of the oceans
So, the sun can bring a farmer’s hands to you

(chorus)

We all seek comfort in the light of day
And our tears can wash off in the rain
Everything we need is all around us
In simple time and simple ways

Mother nature talks
Whispering her thoughts
So the paths we choose to cross
Walk one more day

(chorus)

Beyond parody.

Updatery:
Well, I thought this was beyond parody.
Shouldda known better.
Thanks Stogie. May I call you Stogie?

Missourah.

Musical Interlude, Double

Lordy. One thing leading to another on this interwebs thing today. Foster to Griffith. Yes, remember when Jon and Susan Leo took me to Cerritos to see Nanci Griffith for my birthday? I do.
Susan knew I love Nanci Griffith and made it happen. Somebody in the theatre called my name that night. I thought "Who knows me here? I don't know anyone, really." But I did know someone; a guy I work with, Craig Perry, along with his to-be-bride, was there, they'd made the trip down to Cerritos too.
Smallish world of good taste -- that's the way I roll.
Art is me.
Later Mr. Perry was with me in Israel too, I just remembered. Craig had lived in Morocco, loved it there and was tempted by some appeal of Islam, but back in California he married the lady rabbi, converted that direction from his Presbyterian background, instead of toward Mecca, Yahweh rather than Allah, and he and she moved to Georgia. Jon and Susan moved to Florida and then Tennessee. I stayed put. So far. Though Jon probably got me a job in Florida and did get me a job in Tennessee, I turned 'em down. Big mistake.
Jon wasn't too excited that night in Cerritos, he's a Jimmy Buffet guy, but Nanci Griffith won him over. Did I ever say thanks, Susan? Thanks, Jon?
I owe you more than I could ever pay.

I first heard Nanci Griffith on the Chieftains Bells of Dublin CD at the Leo home in Iowa City. Perhaps while rocking baby Noah. That's how I remember it anyway. Noah and Nanci and me and the Chieftains. Rocking chair, piney scent and Christmas lights. Bells of Dublin became essential Christmas Eve listening for me there and then. Ricki Lee Jones on the way home from Midnight Mass -- O Holy Night -- strange how traditions set themselves -- it's not Christmas without that.
Griffith sings the Wexford Carol, I think.
Later, I became the huge fan due to If These Walls Could Speak on the Red Hot + Country CD. Boy that's a fine song. On a fun CD. Used to listen to it while doing track time at the U of I gym. Radney Foster's on it. So is Dolly Parton. Among many many others. Like Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash singing Forever Young. Don't miss the This TB's Whippin' Me song. Sure it's a metaphor, but remember, the Red Hot + is a fund raising series of CDs. Most of 'em fun and good. But that CD is all about If These Walls Could Speak for me.
Don't know who you'll think of when you don the headphones and listen, but you oughtta listen, and I'd like to know if you can listen without crying. I never can/could.
ManlyMan tears only, of course.
Like I say, one thing leading to 'nother.

And I'm getting maudlin here, now, listening to this beautiful song -- and I'm not even drinking.
Time to run Nashie. C'mon boydog, let's go. Cryin' time's over.
And you? You don't have to watch this. Either one. But I will. It's okay, too, just to listen. But there's a beauty to her, to Miss Griffith's face and bearing, a beauty that's worth seeing.
Ladies and Gentlemen: Miss Nanci Griffith.

The Acornholers Are Back

This is just today's vid. Have you seen last week's?
Why not?
You need the history, just like Chuck Gibson does?
Lordy. Didn't our President work with ACORN? Wasn't he a Community Organizer with ACORN? Just askin'.
Correction: Obama lawyered for ACORN. Correction of Correction.
I wonder. If George Bush had community organized with ACORN, or had any even remote connection to ACORN, do ya think you'd be seeing this like on
CBSNBCABCMSNBC?
Seeing it there instead of on your brother's little playblog?
Just askin'.
Hannah not Montana.
If I knew, how come Chuck Gibson didn't know? The truth too inconvenient? Chucky knew everything about our Governor Mrs. Todd Palin, didn't he?
Speaking of Acornholers. Couldda toldja. Did tell ya. Nobody listens when truth speaks to stupid.
That could be part of stupid's charm.
And here.
Just sayin'. But who wants to know?
Thank you, thank you Andrew Brietbart.

Musical Interlude

Julio y Tenoch

Turns out this is a Mexican movie weekend here on Cantura Street.
And yeah, that's Gael Garcia Bernal, from Rudo y Cursi, movie of the weekend.
Great fun. Watched twice.
And true story, I think.
73% Fresh on the Tomatometer -- if what others think matters to you.
And Diego Luna's in it with him. First time they're together since Y Tu Mama Tambien. Nice.

Apparently that's an old Cheap Trick song. Who knew? Always thought it was Dwight Yoakam's.

Also watched Sleep Dealer -- who is Luis Fernando Peña? -- and My Mexican Shivah -- didn't care about many/any of those shivah-sittin' characters -- just saying.

Streamed Diego Luna in Criminal today too. American remake of Argentinian Nine Queens. What the heck, it's a Diego Luna afternoon. Don't forget John C. Reilly

Tato "El Cursi" Verdusco. Just wanted to say that.
Tough & Corny.
Yes I have that pic of Gael Garcia Bernal sitting on the toilet but I could not figure out how to justify including it in this post.....

Art Interlude: Bosch Fawstin Today

THE UNAVENGED

Had to laugh aloud earlier today over on the FaceBook thing when an old and beloved friend backhandedly suggested racism and racial profiling and right wingism as motivation for my (annual) display of an FBI picture of the 19 barbarians who perpetrated 9/11 -- old college chum punctuating his chiding accusation with a smiley face emoticon -- as if my slip into bigotry were already forgiven.
Gee, thanks.
Sure I couldda engaged, but I take no offense, especially at quick shots on the FaceBook; hey, we post and we cannot take it back; no do-overs; and them ole Teachable Moments bore the hell outta me anyway. I'm too old for that shite. Time is precious. And I need no defense.
Tru dat.
Tho the easiest, laziest, cheapest, Al Sharptonest comment in America today for anything or anyone you don't like: Racist!
It's our first line of attack.
Our fallback position.
Effin eff that.
And the Rev Wright it rode in on.
Plus that pic of those perps gets big response in different settings every year.
Some'o'those faces don't look any different or any older than some of the kids I teach.
Some of 'em.
Gotta say it makes the young ones s-t-o-p and t-h-i-n-k every time I place it before them.
Silences them.
Those faces silence them.
In a way that the tired droning Reading Of The Names of the 2996 Islamo-murdered does not.
I don't even say anything. I just place the picture before them.
Then my kids say it all. Truthfully and intelligently.
And movingly. And revealingly.
And clear-headedly. And cleanly. And without prejudice.
And I'll say it again. Some of the perp's faces don't look any different or any older than some of the kids I teach.
Can you say Ahmed Alnami or Hani Hanjour?
....Young. Pretty. Earnest. Semitic. Or, Aryan lookin' -- in a Persian way.
And Persians will tell ya, tell ya quickly, they are the original Aryan nation.
***
How did those young men decide to do what that they did that day?
One need not be racing, one need not be profiling, one need not be wing-nutting to look at those faces and wonder.
Nor does one need to be forgiving. Leave that to the One God.
***
Suspect or suggest or attribute to me any motive you like.
What I do know is that the perps are the perps.
Hey, I'll speak truth to stupid: The perps are the perps.
If they all have something in common, don't blame moi.
Besides if I were to get up off of my prayer rug, put my shoes back on my stinkin' feet and do some profilin', it wouldn't be racial profiling I'd be invoking, it'd be religious profiling.
Mother of God preserve us all from the Islam.

"Though I was born into a Muslim family, I became interested in Islam only after 9/11/01, when 19 Muslims murdered 2,996 human beings in the name of Islam. Those who always gave a damn for the truth did their homework and found out for themselves what Islam really meant before they said one word about it. But then there were the politicians and the ideologues. Even before the smoke cleared, Western politicians and intellectuals who knew nothing about Islam couldn't wait to exonerate it by uttering the anti-reality check of our time, 'Islam means peace.'

And thank you President Obama for your two (2) good good good sentences this week:
"Let us renew our resolve against those who perpetrated this barbaric act and who plot against us still."
"In pursuit of al-Qaida and its extremist allies, we will never falter."
Hope is for chumps but I surely hope your actions match your -- kinda Bushian -- nine one one words, Mr. President.

We all know I've had bad experiences with art in the past, but Bosch Fawstin: Thank you for your good stuff.

Shabbat Shalom

Aaron Horwitz

Took them a while but the NYTimes published obituaries of every one murdered by the Islamofascists on September 11th, 2001. Called them Portraits Of Grief.
Me? I cannot forget this kid. And his story. No I did not know him, but I pull this out of my beauty file every September. And, yeah, I'm not alone in loving his face.

Aaron Horwitz: Finding Good in a Bad Day
Once, Aaron Horwitz had what most people would consider a supremely lousy day. A friend asked him how he would rate it, from 1 to 10, with 1 the worst.
"Eight," he replied.
You could get a contact high from Mr. Horwitz, 24, a bond broker at Cantor Fitzgerald with the almost laughable responsibility of entertaining clients and making them feel like the most important people in the world.
As if anyone had to pay him. For he was not just a showman, who did the Michael Jackson moonwalk on bar tops and who, at a museum, drew his own masterpiece on a mist-coated window next to a Rembrandt.
He seized souls, not letting go until he made them merry. He met a guy in a toy store and, moments later, the two were having a hula hoop contest. He insisted a concierge stop weeping over a bad breakup, then called her at 2:30 a.m. to make sure. He sweet-talked hostesses at four-star restaurants into producing tables for eight (and their phone numbers for dates) and persuaded a street masseur to let Mr. Horwitz give him a massage.
"You could talk to a brick wall," his father told him. Yes, allowed the son, but he preferred chatting with a mirror. He often did so, then fell over, laughing.

Mario Santoro, Rest In Peace

911, NYC
Mario Santoro:Good Food, Good Company

Mario Santoro was a dedicated emergency medical technician who loved his job. Yes, he doted on his daughter, Sofia, who is now 3. And yes, he was a passionate volunteer basketball coach at his local church who sometimes showed up to practice after catching only an hour or two of sleep, after a late shift on the job.

But those who knew him best also realized that Mr. Santoro, 28, loved, more than almost anything else, to have a great meal with close friends and family.

Steak. Seafood. Appetizers. Good wine, good beer. It almost didn't matter what was on the table, as long as the food was good and the company divine, said his widow, Léonor Ramos-Santoro.

"It was kind of like breathing for him; it was almost religious for him, like taking care of your soul," she said about her husband, who immigrated from Argentina as a young boy. "Meals were sacred. You sit down and you enjoy. You're not caught up in what's going on outside."

Sometimes the Santoros made their way to the Bridge Cafe, a restaurant not far from their apartment in Lower Manhattan. At home, Mr. Santoro relished his wife's arroz con gandules, or rice with pigeon peas, with an extra zing of garlic.

"For the rest of my life, I will want Mario to come home for a meal," she said. "If he has to go back, then fine, go back. But just one more meal, that's all."
