It is approaching the one year mark of losing one of my best friends as well as a huge mentor. To this day I have a hard time actually believing that Josh is not here, and not on a mission. He was a protector of not only the United States, but also a guardian to me since we first met.I have a few tattoo's in Josh's memory and even his tags that he wore, it's a painful yet constant reminder of a friend I will never forget and a friend I will always love. My only regret is that my son (Nicholas) never got to meet the the greatest person I have ever met. But he will know Josh through the stories I will tell about a true hero. I miss you Towny!— Ronnie Durbiano

He was born a warrior, and I am so proud to be his brother and to have been his twin. I will never forget him.— Jordan Townsend, brother in The Lompoc Record
