Dimona Nukes

Israel intercepts plane overflying nuclear reactor

The Israeli air force scrambled fighter jets on Tuesday after a light aircraft flew into restricted air space over its nuclear reactor in the southern Negev desert, the military said.

Some reports indicate that the Isrealis have used Dimona to produce two hundred (200) nuclear warheads. Only two hundred? Well, two hundred is a good start. They're man enough to ues 'em too. Youbetcha.

Limbaugh and the Rams

Friends been telling me for years I oughtta watch football. You'll like it, they tell me. Better than that college basketball you love. Maybe this news'll give me a reason to watch football. Go Ramz.
ST. LOUIS (AP) - Green Bay Packers fans are known as cheeseheads. Could fans of the St. Louis Rams soon be dittoheads?
Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh said Tuesday he is teaming up with St. Louis Blues owner Dave Checketts in a bid to buy the Rams, owners of the NFL's longest losing streak at 14 and just 5-31 since 2007.

In a statement, Limbaugh declined to discuss details, citing a confidentiality agreement with Goldman Sachs, the investment firm hired by the family of former Rams owner Georgia Frontiere to review assets of her estate, including the NFL team.

Limbaugh also declined to discuss other partners that might be involved in the bid, but said he and Checketts would operate the team.
That's ownership change I can believe in.

Dropped My Kindle

I looked at my Kindle 2 yesterday and thought "You used to wrap that up every morning in that little blue cloth TH bag and put in in your back pack. You better start that up again."

Didn't though.

Dropped my Kindle this morning. In the dark. On the cement. Ouch.

Still works, praise be. But it's cracked and a little bent.

Knew when I dropped it that if I had to I'd be replacing it pronto. Yes I'm frugal but there was no question that I'd replace it. Pay extra for quick ship. Yes I'm Kindle dependent. Powerless over Kindle.

That's an unsightly gash in the Kindle. Repair -- it seems -- is two hundred bucks +/-. Not worth it. Could get a refurbished for that. New one for three hundred. And anyway, so far, this one still works wounded.

Then I did some digging around. How about the DX? Is there a new Kindle 4 coming anytime soon? And the big question: When is the 10" iTouch coming out? Will Jeff allow Steve to run the Kindle App on a 10" Apple device? Read my first two Kindle books on my iPhone last winter and I'll be pleased to continue reading on a ten incher. Yes size matters.

Dropped my Kindle this morning. At least I didn't leave it on the plane . . . Did tuck it under my arm and dash out the door this morning. Fool. Dropped it before I'd gotten down the steps. I looked at my Kindle 2 yesterday and thought "You used to wrap that up every morning in that little blue cloth TH bag and put in in your back pack. You better start that up again."

Next time I tell myself to do something I better do it.

Update HERE and oh yeah, overnight Amazon dropped the price of Kindle another forty bucks. $259.

Gratitude Interlude

If Don Surber sent you here, Welcome. And Thanks Mr. Surber.
N.B. I'm in California, not Alaska. There could be some confusion about that. And I'm a he, not a she. Not so much confusion there. Thanks for stopping by. Here's what you'd be looking for if you want to know why he sent you.

If Another Black Conservative sent you over here. Welcome. And thanks again, ABC.

Our Governor Mrs. Todd Palin

The burden of intellectual superficiality . . .
Hey, it's only the 3rd and already Raphael Alexander gives us the Canadian Quote of the Month re: Sarah Palin:

She isn’t bothered by a turkey being slaughtered in the background as she talks cheerfully about her ideas. There is no burden of intellectual superficiality to her, as there is with Barack Obama, a man who has shown remarkable poise and oratory talents when he is properly handled, but wobbles when put in the hot seat without his notes.
Wobbles. That's putting it gently. To say nothing of his telepuppetprompter.

Plus, didja ever notice? She's happy.
We're happy.
He's not happy.
And neither are his supporters happy.
Nor is you-know-she-who happy.
Go figure.
What? Been saying this long time.
Go look in the archives.
As KCD points out so astutely: It's Ice Cream!

Read it all here.

The Pleasure Principle: Don Surber

Don Surber over at schadenfreude central -- and I mean that in a good way -- aka Don Surber, offers up the quote of the week.:
If my pleasure in seeing Obama fail and Rio succeed makes me unpatriotic in the eyes of some balding hippies, so be it.
Heh. Balding hippies. Have you no shame, sir?

Great bumpersticker over there too.
Dont miss Surber here -- most excellent collection of photographs.

Doubt it'll happen but perhaps now the Chicago bigwig crooks can turn away from the international olympian grifters fund and focus on Derrion Albert and the rest of their endangered school children.

Sharon Tate Memorabilia

Yeah, I was in Connecticut once many many many years ago, Pomfret, I think, and stopped at a roadside flea market to look around and overheard a woman there asking the flea marketeers: "You have any Sharon Tate memorabilia? I collect it. I collect that Sharon Tate stuff."
No, no negative assessment here -- I was on my own quirky quest for the ever-rare, loose, discarded Holy Water bottle -- don't ask -- but, I've always liked that line, "Any Tate memorabilia?" and it came to mind this week as Tate's poor widower has been in the news so. So, opinion spew overkill or not, can you take one more piece on the former Mr. Sharon Tate?
Read Mark Steyn:

The political class is beginning to recalibrate. In Paris, President Sarkozy's government withdrew its initial enthusiasm for Polanski after it emerged that even the boundlessly sophisticated French aren't eager to champion creepy child rapists just because they're celebrities. As Susan Estrich wrote, "Yes, he's made some big films in those years. So what?"

Hold that thought: "Big films," like what? Until "The Pianist" briefly revived his reputation, Polanski had spent the previous quarter-century making leaden comedies ("Pirates"), generic thrillers ("Frantic") and lame art-house nudie flicks ("Bitter Moon," with the not-yet-famous Hugh Grant). If that level of "great art" is all the justification you need for drugging and sodomizing 13-year-old girls, there won't be enough middle-schoolers to go round.

Who else but Steyn'll give you stuff like: rape-rape-rape-rape?
Memorabiliaizing Miss Tate on a trampoline:

Aside: She's no Sharon Tate, but I do have a favorite Estrich piece.

Copenhagen Chumps

Chicago Now:
Chicago 2016 Olympics: What Oprah Wants..

You want Obama to win the presidency?  Sure thing.  Close down Michigan Avenue?  Not a problem.  The Olympics in Chicago?  Hold up a second.

After traveling to Copenhagen to plead Chicago's case before the International Olympic Committee, Queen O must be mighty shocked the city was eliminated this morning in the first round of voting. For the first time in recent memory, what Oprah wants isn't what Oprah gets.

____________________________________________________________
Must be more Oprah profiling going on at the IOC just like at Hermes in Paris. Hmmm.

Yeah, yeah, hope is for chumps. But is it too much to hope that this is the end of the Oprahfication of everything?

Speaking of Pinkos & Commies & Crops & James Bowman

I don't even know the kid's name but I'm passing through the lab here in Farmville this morning and the kid says to me:
"Mr. Contento, we need socialist medicine in America."
"You bet," says I, "but why stop there along the way? Let's go straight on to Communism."
"You get it Mr. Contento; nobody else around here gets it. Look at my wallpaper."
He clicks and up comes a pic of Stalin
Not that pic, a more brutal pic, but I like the younger Soso, the softer Man of Steel.:
Birth Name Iosif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili
Nickname: Uncle Joe
Nickname: Soso (his mother's nickname for him -- and his Party name)
Nickname: Man of Steel

"Sweet," said I.
"Stalin knew how to get things done," the boy tells me.
"Yeah," why wouldn't I agree? "he could delegate some famine good. Hungry peasants are good peasants."
Now the boy's laughing at me. Yes, the kid is kidding. And happy that I'm playing along. He won't stop. "Let me show you my favorite song, Mr. Contento. It's a great one."

All I could do not to sing along. "Send me that link, please, willya? I have a place for it."

Catchy tune, that. Mmmm, mmmm, mmm. I'd go on, tell ya more, but I've got to harvest my coffee in 30 minutes and my strawberries are withered. It's a simple life, but I live it.
I do love these kids some days.
Some little more talk of "revolution" and brutality and starving peasants and that was that.
Speaking of which, from that to this:
Movie Take'o'The Week
The Baader Meinhof Complex
By James Bowman on 10.2.09 @ 6:02AM
In other words, audiences today are quite likely to notice what was not so much noticed at the time, namely that the "revolution" doesn't make any sense. So far as we can tell, these naughty children don't even know what "imperialism" means, apart from identifying it with anything America or Israel do -- and not with anything that the Soviet Union or China did. It is whatever they say it is. Their narcissism even extends to the deaths of the leadership -- Meinhoff first, then Baader and Ensslin -- by suicide in prison. These are the solipsist revolutionaries -- though, like Bill Ayers, they still command respect at the New York Times.
Bill Ayers. Ain't he one'o'them "revolutionary" friends of Michelle and Barack?
Enjoyed the last eight (8) months. Truly did. Looking forward with revolutionary zeal to the next three-some years.
Too bad about that Olympiad and ParaOlympiad setback over in Copenhagendaz.
Still, our future looks bright. Let a hundred acorns blossom.
Viva la hope y change.

Oh, Daddy!

Sir Russ Smith on the British press and on Rod Liddle's take on Elton John -- and, oh yeah, slebutards adopting homeless waifs.
"Sir Elton has made his bed, a very comfortable bed, and he should lie in it. It is no use suddenly deciding at the age of 63 that he has missed out; children are time-consuming, they demand sacrifice, the stuff he was not prepared to give [earlier in his life]. There are plenty of other things he can have to keep himself cheerful, anyway. Not so long ago, he was seen trying a very expensive Tom Ford fragrance, 'orchid voile de fleur,' which had the subtle aroma—the critics said—of a man's crotch. I do not know which man's crotch: hopefully for Elton's sake, not mine."

It's full of nasty habits when the bitch gets back, ain't it.

Teen Boy Beatdown

Chicago. This one's on the far north side.

Another boy beaten: 'Blood was all over street'
October 1, 2009 12:41 PM | 55 Comments | UPDATED STORY
A 14-year-old boy was chased down a street in the Edgewater neighborhood this morning and hit with a pipe, fracturing his skull, according to police and witnesses.

While the boy underwent surgery at Children's Memorial Hospital, police canvassed the 6300 block of North Paulina for leads in the beating -- which came just a week after 16-year-old Derrion Albert was beaten to death on the Far South Side.

This Week's Homicide Report

Only two (2) infants this week.
Homicides: Sept. 21-28 [Updated]
September 29, 2009 | 8:28 am
[Updated Sept. 29: The year-to-date number of homicides in Los Angeles County is about 572. This number does not include a handful of cases where the cause of death has been deferred.]

The Los Angeles County coroner's office has confirmed the following deaths as homicides:

David Colone, a 32-year-old black man, on Sept. 21. Colone was shot in 10000 block of South Figueroa Street in Vermont Vista.

Noe Escobar Reyes, a 41-year-old Latino, on Sept. 22. Escobar Reyes was shot in the 1900 block of South Towne Avenue in Pomona.

Juan Segura-Ramirez, a 27-year-old Latino, on Sept. 23. Segura-Ramirez was shot in the 1500 block of East Lomita Boulevard in Wilmington.

Francisco Estrada, a 44-year-old Latino, on Sept. 23. Estrada was shot in the 1500 block of East Lomita Boulevard in Wilmington.

Samantha Williams, a 4-month-old white infant, on Sept. 24. Williams died of blunt force trauma. The location of Williams' death was not reported by the coroner.

Errol McIntyre, a 46-year-old black man, on Sept. 24. McIntyre was shot at West 37th and Catalina streets in Exposition Park.

Isidro Meza-Rojas, a 28-year-old Latino, on Sept. 26. Meza-Rojas was shot in the 20900 block of Gresham Street in Canoga Park.

Guillermo Mendoza-Rojas, a 21-year-old Latino, on Sept. 26. Mendoza-Rojas was shot in the 20900 block of Gresham Street in Canoga Park.

Andrew Garcia, a 4-month-old Latino infant, on Sept. 27. Garcia was shot at Kittridge and Sylmar streets in Van Nuys.
And yes, the LALA Times justifies its otherwise questionable existence with The Homicide Report. There may be a print version, I dunno. Never look at the paper, well, except for the Travel section on Sunday.

Rod Boyce, Sarah Palin, Todd Palin, Apology, Rod Boyce Apology, Managing Editor

Rod Boyce. Let's keep Rod Boyce in mind this week just in case he's googling himself.

Derrion Albert: Another Black Conservative and Derrion Albert

Another Black Condervative, Clifton B. says:
I cannot tell you how sick and tired I am of seeing, hearing or reading about black on black violence. Look up the statistics of black on black crime and your eyes will pop out of your head. Despite these alarming numbers, black leaders of today seem to have the most tepid response to the issue.
. . .
As you are all well aware, I have no love for Obama’s whacked out Socialist polices. However, I do have great respect for Obama as a role model for the black community. He is educated, he clearly loves and respects his wife and he is a good and providing father to his children. He has spoken to blacks about the importance of education, the need to strive and fatherhood. As President of the United States, Obama is in a unique and possibly once in a lifetime position to finally bring attention to black on black violence.
For ABC the words are sick and tired.
For me, the word this week is wearied.
My old heart is weary of being broken by stuff like this.
Eff. It hurts. Even from this distance.
Get up, Derrion. Get up.

You've all heard me saying similar
stuff regarding President Obama's
strong stance as a father and
family man.
When he and his gang'o'losers
were snatching scholarships from the parents and the
school kids in the District of Columbia earlier this year,
and yeah, that was: Administration Policy,
when he was kicking kids to the curb,
while his own perfect beauties were registering for I Forget The Name Private School - -
at that time I said this to you (last March):
Look, it's clear he's a devoted father and family man, our President Obama. What about his power to affect the families of others in a positive way? Why else seek the job? Affect away. It's only a few million$ for these kids.

ABC suggests this -- n-o-w -- as the time for our President Obama --
I'll add here: AND his First Lady Michelle --
to address this black on black on black on black blackness violence.
You want one'o'those "teachable" moment thingies?
Grab this, Mr. President of Purple America.

I'm not as hopeful as ABC.
The way Obama and his Democrats
slashed'n'snatched vouchers from black kids
in Washington D.C. leaves me
knowing they really don't care.
They just don't. If they cared, they'd do.
They're all talk and no do. All feel and no act.
They'd rather stick it to a white cop in Cambridge than
help a black child break free. That's their tired focus.
No one'll be happier than me to be proven wrongo.

Earlier Derrion right here.
Get up Derrion. Get up.

And hey, not every body will stand up to take a bullet for another, but let us not forget, the vast majority of young black men are more like this than that, more like Kaleb then Silvonus; more like Kaleb than Jesse Jackson; more like Kaleb than Al Sharpton; more like Kaleb than "Rev." Wright; more like Kaleb than Kanye...

Derrion Albert -- Soweto?

Video: Teen Attacked, Beaten to Death in Black Teen on Black Teen Rampage
Nah, not Soweto.
That ain't South Africa. If it were, they'd be necklacing (can you say Winnie Mandela?) instead of beating on boys -- killing innocent beauties -- with big ole Chicago planks.
That's Chicago.
The south side of Chicago.
The "For the first time in my adult life I'm proud to be an American" side of Chicago.
The Jesse "Heimytown" Jackson/Jesse Jackson Junior./the Jesse Operation PUSH side of Chicago.
The Farrakhan/Nation of Islam side of Chicago.
The Fr. Pfleger side of Chicago.
The Reverend Wright/Trinity Church side of Chicago.
The Skip "Yo Mama" Gates -- wait, he's in Cambridge. Nevermind.
The Obama/Acorn side of Chicago.
That would be the odd, kooky, insane, pathetic, creepy, hater, poseur, stinking side of Chicago, coincidentally the south side of Chicago, where all of them Community Organizin' chickens be comin' home to roost.

God bless Chicago? Goddamn Chicago.

Derrion Albert Derrion Albert
Derrion Albert Derrion Albert
Derrion Albert Derrion Albert
Derrion Albert Derrion Albert

Get up Derrion. Get up.

God help us all.

Unless it's a fake stop on the way to Afghanistan, I guess it is more important that our President, our First Lady and our Oprah do their oddly mad dash over to Copenhagen to get those Olympics games (hmmmm) to streets of Chicago rather than to look look looksee at what's really happening in the real world, or, on the real streets of their real Chicago.
To coin a phrase: You're doing a heck of a job, Brownie.

It a hip hop thang.

Later we can address the commentary of the video camera operators.

Amateurs. Incompetents. Ideologues. Full-time politicians turned half-wit government officials. Brilliant leftists who, confronted with the real world, are exposed as clueless idiots and children.

It's going to be a long time until January 2013. Will the millions of American voters who should have known better, but who were taken in by Obama's sham, have stopped thinking 'Wow!' by at least November 2012?

Trig's Mom

Today I, Contento, must apologize to Rod Boyce personally and on behalf of the Boom3 and the Boom3 bumpsins for the choice of words used on the bottom of today's post regarding Rodney's physical characteristics. Rod, do forgive me. My sincerity matches yours.

We used offensive language — “balding, small-dicked, no-sac, four-eyed geek” — next to a small photograph of the balding, small-dicked, no-sac, four-eyed geek editrix of an Alaskan "news"paper -- a paper which not only slammed Governor Mrs. Todd Palin in the crudest of archaicly derogatory terms, but also used the opportunity of its apology to repeat the slam.

Say that to Mr. Todd Palin's face, Rod, willya. Then report on that. Meanwhile:
Palin’s Hong Kong Speech: I Can See Insanity From My Newsroom
by John Ziegler
You would think at this point it would be impossible for anyone (especially me) to be stunned or outraged by anything the news media tries to pull when it comes to Sarah Palin. After all, once you have been exposed to a year-long brutal beating, one tends to become numb to a simple low blow. However, the news coverage of her Hong Kong speech still managed to spark the senses on several levels.

I don't kid myself that you'll read this, but ya oughtta.

Hmmmm. One balding, small-dicked, no-sac, four-eyed geek apologizes for "mistake":
Today I must apologize to Mrs. Palin personally and on behalf of the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner for the choice of words used on the bottom of Wednesday’s front page regarding her speaking engagement in Hong Kong this week to a group of global investors.
We used offensive language — “A broad in Asia” — above a small photograph of the former governor to direct readers inside the newspaper to a full story of her Hong Kong appearance.
Apology not accepted, Rodney.

Obama - Biden Administration Will Cut Border Patrol Deployed on U.S-Mexico Border
Thursday, September 24, 2009
(CNSNews.com) - Even though the Border Patrol now reports that almost 1,300 miles of the U.S.-Mexico border is not under effective control, and the Department of Justice says that vast stretches of the border are “easily breached,” and the Government Accountability Office has revealed that three persons “linked to terrorism” and 530 aliens from “special interest countries” were intercepted at Border Patrol checkpoints last year, the administration is nonetheless now planning to decrease the number of Border Patrol agents deployed on the U.S.-Mexico border
